:Synopsis:
Witchcraft is part of Morgan in a way she can't explain; it's a part of who she is. She thought her boyfriend Cal was, too, that they were destined to be together. But Cal betrayed her in the worst way imaginable, by trying to give her up to the dark side. Now, Morgan is learning all she can about magick so she can protect herself. She is studying with a witch named Hunter, who helped her fight Cal. Hunter and Morgan set off sparks when they are together, and Morgan realizes that what she had with Cal might not have been real. But there is still dark magick at work around them, and Hunter believes a friend of Morgan is to blame.

Chapter 9, Ǵomanach's Journal
It happened again this afternoon. Just the way it did that other night. We were talking - talking about how to protect her, actually - and then, suddenly, I looked at her and it was as if I'd found an entire universe within her eyes. And I wanted so badly just to touch her, to kiss her mouth... I can't stop thinking about her. She moves me so strongly, so strangely. I've never felt like this before.
I'm an idiot. She can barely stand me.
Chapter 14, Maghach's Entry
We are in Vienna, where I have found work tutoring college students in English. Evening, Fiona and I walk along the Danube or in the Stefanplatz. She has gained some much needed weight and is looking better. the other night we even went on the Ferris wheel in Volksprater. But the amusement park made us think of the children. Have Beck and Shelagh ever taken them to such a place?
Ǵomanach is now thirteen, Linden almost tweleve, and Alwyn, nine. I wonder what they look like.
Chapter 20, Ǵomanach's Entry
I put the braigh on David Redstone today. Morgan was there. She saw the whole thing. I doubt she'll ever forgive me.
But I have to make her try, because I need her. Goddess, how I need her.
I think I'm falling in love. And I'm frightened.
